Favorite Resources

Discipline

The early learning years are a critical time to mold your child's behavior. My favorite books are listed below.

Don't Make Me Count to Three by Ginger Plowman

This is the best book on discipline I have read. It is entertaing, practical, and to the point. Mrs. Plowman explains how to get to the heart of your child. She highlights the importance of teaching your child while disciplining so that you shape their inward thoughts and not just their outward behaviors.

Bringing up Boys and Bringing up Girls by Dr. James C. Dobson

These books are great for parents trying to raise their children in this current generation. The books are full of startling statistics and practical advice on how to help your child develop into a healthy male or female. I appreciate Dr. Dobson's honest and straight-forward approach.

The New Strong Willed Child by Dr. James C. Dobson

This is a must read if your child is defiant and stubborn.
